Maxwell Builders is looking for an energetic team member to join a fast paced, growing estimating department.  As estimator/lead estimator you will lead pre-con projects and will collaborate and guide two junior estimators.  This position has great potential for upward mobility. Responsibilities

• Complete full quantity take-offs to support accurate estimates and scopes for all disciplines in commercial projects.
• Collaborate with fellow estimating team members on scope development to eliminate scope gaps and overlaps.
• Build estimates and scopes based on a practical understanding of design, constructability, logistics, sequencing and means and methods of a project.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor proposals for a complete and accurate scope.
• Preparing and assembling complete bid proposals deliverables on time
• Perform project handoff/kickoff to Operations
• Guide and direct junior estimators as lead estimator in pre-con projects.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, OST, Bluebeam
• Proven written and verbal communication abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
• Ability to work well and assimilate in a team environment.
